Shillong peak is actually one of the highest points of the state and is therefore regarded as a highly famous Shillong attraction. In the evening time, the city appears evenmore beautiful.

Elephant falls – Renamed as Elephant Falls by the British, who found it difficult to pronounce the local name, the waterfall is believed to have gotten its name from a huge elephant-shaped rock near it. Though the rock was destroyed in an earthquake, the name remained. Make the best use of this waterfall and shed your inhibitions to take a dip in cold, clear water.
